Privacy Policy

TLDR: Find does not collect any information.

  • Find operates offline1.
  • Scanning for text / objects happens offline via local algorithms for text/object recognition.
  • Find never uploads your photos. I literally don't have servers. By doing everything on-device I keep costs down.
  • Find does not contain analytics libraries2.
  • Find does not track you in any way.
  • Find does not have ads.
  • Find does not upload your information online.
  • I value privacy and understand that photos can be especially personal. I built Find mainly for myself — to find things faster. From the beginning I've avoided Google and all the server-side stuff. Find is 100% built with Swift, SwiftUI, and UIKit, and runs completely on-device.

[1]: If you have iCloud photos that are not stored locally on your device, Find will use Apple’s built-in frameworks to download these photos. Nothing is ever uploaded.

[2]: I'm considering adding TelemetryDeck, which is used by the Apollo reddit app. I haven't done anything yet — do you have any thoughts? Let me know on Twitter.
